How To Join Cagora
As we said, Cagora is free to join for anyone.
Cagora works on the "one to many" basis, so you have to join as an individual first and then add your businesses and/or organizations and clubs you might be involved in. One individual can be involved in several businesses or organizations, but not the other way around, hence the individual starts the process.
OK, here we go.
Before you click on the link below, you are going to want to open up the link in a new tab. On Firefox this is easy by "right clicking" on the link and then selecting "Open In New Tab".
Click On This Link To Go To Cagora
This will take you to the Cagora website for your country. In the top right hand corner of the page you will see where you can login using your user name and password and to the immediate left is a blue button to "Join Now". Ignore that for the moment because we are going on a journey to your Local World.
In the center of the page you will see three icons. One of them is orange with the word "Register" on it. I want you to look just above that to the line that says "Explore the wider network: All Local Worlds | Worlds of Interest". Click on the "All Local Worlds" link and it will take you to a list of countries and regions. If you are in Australia for example, you are part of the Oceania region. Once on this page, click on the plus sign (+) to the left of the country or region and then keep drilling down until you find the area that is closest to you. As you are going through this process, you will note that many of these Local Worlds have a note next to them saying a dollar amount and "Buy Now". Ignore this. These amounts are only relative for people wishing to take on a role as a Community Partner. These will be explained in a separate area.
Join Now
Now that you are in your "Local World" it's time to Join Up to Cagora. The first thing that you may notice is that the domain name has changed at the top to reflect your local area. That confirms you're in the right spot.
Now it is simply a matter of clicking on the blue "Join Now" icon at the top of the page. Remember, this is all free. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
The sign up process will simply ask you a few questions to establish your account. You must set your account up using an individual name. You can add your businesses and organizations or clubs afterwards and they will be all linked back to your personal account.
On completion of the sign up process, you will be ready to start setting up your Profile.
Your Profile
Your Profile page is the first thing to fill out on Cagora. You can add a photo of yourself and all the other information requested. Much of this information you can choose to make public or whether it will be private or even available only to your friends.
Once you have completed your Profile and saved it, it's time to start exploring Cagora. You may not find much content in your Local World, so perhaps head up to your "Country" where there should be more. Remember, at the time of writing, Cagora is a babe in arms. Cagora being a Community Web Site and Social Network relys upon its members to contribute the content. You are now one of those members, so add what you will, but remember the site is very family friendly and monitored by other users.
